Rogozhnikov Vyacheslav Alexandrovich

He was born on May 6, 1951 in Shilka city of Chita region. Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor of Preventive Medicine Department of Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, academician of the Academy of Astronautics, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Active State Councilor of the Russian Federation, III class.

In 1974 he graduated from Chita State Medical Institute, in 1976 – clinical residency in urology, in 1990 - Academy of National Economy under the Government of the USSR, in 1991 - the Highest International Business School in Mikkeli (Finland).

He worked in senior positions in the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (head of department on work with regions, head of the Department of medical care and prevention of non-communicable diseases). Health organizer with 30 years of experience (the deputy chief physician of Chita Regional Hospital, head of Health Department of Administration of Chita region, head of Scientific and Methodological Centre of Regional Health Policy of Central Research Institute of organization and information of Public Health of the Ministry of Health of Russia, vice-President of the Interregional Association "Health Care of Siberia", member of the Chief Medical Commission to inspect candidates to be astronauts and astronauts, Interdepartmental Commission to Provide Functioning of Complex "Baikonur", to conduct flight tests of manned space systems).

He was awarded the medal "For Distinguished Services in Protection of State border", the medal named after K. Tsiolkovsky, Yu.A. Gagarin, S.P. Korolyov, Jubilee Medal for the 80th anniversary of EUOSP (expedition of underwater operations for special purpose), lapel badge "For services in destruction of chemical weapons of II stage".

He is a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal "Bulletin of regenerative medicine". Rogozhnikov is the author of 47 scientific works, including 6 monographs, co-author of five federal programs, including "Social development of village up to 2010", "Prevention and management of hypertension».
